Exactly what i said in my mind, Toonhead. You took the words from me!!!

Post 6 by Austin (the magic fan!) on Tuesday, 12-Feb-2008 7:38:38

yes tunehead. yet again, i'm with you man. i'll say no more and no less. as for myself, i've taken a break from internet radio. simply because i'm too busy and i feel i'd have nothing new to offer. last year was a year where i found that my network had nothing to offer. plus, we weren't up half the time. so i finally gave up the ghost and boy i'm glad i did. ok, i'm done here.

Post 7 by Toonhead71 (move over school!) on Tuesday, 12-Feb-2008 17:26:29

It does take a lot of work, it's not just something you can throw on the net and expect instant success. I'm seriously not trying to be mean, far from it actually. Maybe i'm being tougher than is necessary but after you'v seen 20 different stations that run for like 2 weeks it does get to be a bit of the same thing a lot of the time. The true test is to put something on that is different and makes people want to listen. If you like it that's great but the question is will others like it?

Post 8 by mistervera (the Zone BBS remains forever my home page) on Tuesday, 12-Feb-2008 19:52:37

I am paying money this time out of my own pocket for it not cheap and I have a life I did not start 20 stations your are over the top. Also stop beeing so negative! I all ready had a peak of about 7 listeners. if you don't believe me its up on the site. I aint playing here this is not something that I am leaving not after I spend a hell alot of time and money on it this passed week. I have a life I am in school I have other things to do and this is one of my side things it some one listens grate if not grate it will be there any way because I aint stopping it. What do I want about it? Well fun and listeners from time to time and also it to be a sation for local youth. That is worb radios goal and it will be done.

Post 9 by Toonhead71 (move over school!) on Wednesday, 13-Feb-2008 7:09:14

Let's wait til March or April and see if it's still around. Sorry, man, but your reputation sort f preceeds you. It's hard to believeafter so many week long projects. I used 20 as a random high number. So if this lasts that's wonderful, and promoting it is fine, but as I said, we'll see if it's still here in March or April. This is your chance to proove us all wrong.

Post 14 by Toonhead71 (move over school!) on Wednesday, 20-Feb-2008 12:06:33

Dude, seriously, please learn to use a spellchecker? I'm seriously not trying to be rude here, but when you write these posts like this it makes you look like a 12 year old in his bedroom broadcasting his own llittle radio station. If you really want to be taken seriously, please learn how to use a spellchecker and then post after all the mistakes are taken out. I'm just sayin.

Post 15 by ArtRock1224 (move over school!) on Wednesday, 20-Feb-2008 12:19:34

There are more spelling errors than a spell checker could even begin to catch (For example, "FM" and "XM" instead of "f m" or "x m" [seriously, you don't need a space between the letters, haha.]) And combine "when ever" to make "whenever." Work on this. It is unacceptable for an adult to spell like that.

Post 16 by fuzzy101 (The master of fuzz!!) on Wednesday, 20-Feb-2008 12:28:40

When is this Godfather dude on XM and what channel as well as your station?

Post 17 by charrington (Zone BBS is my Life) on Wednesday, 20-Feb-2008 14:24:13

Well Kerry, they do have a point. not trying to bash you, but siriusly, if you want to go anyware, you have to sound professional. By the way, Worb Radio's ice cast server is out there waiting for listeners.

Post 19 by Toonhead71 (move over school!) on Thursday, 21-Feb-2008 19:33:46

I think it's funny how he spelled Serious like the satellite radio service does, S I R I U S. Kind of ironic!

Post 20 by mistervera (the Zone BBS remains forever my home page) on Saturday, 23-Feb-2008 19:26:55

Okay my fucken spelling is shitty because I type to fast some times this is not a class on spelling here I am try to promote my station not fucken spell right I am sorry but this gets me a little ticked off. You people that like to make fun of my spelling should make fun of some one else not me. Maybe I am a fucken retard because I can't fucken spell toon head stop your bitchen. I don't care on this borad if my spelling is messed up or not and oh why not put a spell checker on this thing then?

Post 21 by ArtRock1224 (move over school!) on Saturday, 23-Feb-2008 20:08:51

Nobody's directly trying to make fun of you--not really anyway. Actually, we're offering advice that would seriously help you in the future. Your spelling is unacceptable in any context. Learn to present yourself well and you'll go far--at least farther than you're going now. Oh, and "fucken?" and "bitchen?" lmao.

Post 22 by Toonhead71 (move over school!) on Sunday, 24-Feb-2008 16:04:17

Oh fuck this shit, i've had enough. Obviously he isn't even willing to listen. I have fucking had it.

Post 23 by charrington (Zone BBS is my Life) on Friday, 07-Mar-2008 8:54:02

Yeah Kerry, you might wanna listen to these people and consider that they know what they're talking about.

Post 24 by FlyingPhoenix (move over school!) on Friday, 07-Mar-2008 12:27:14

I agree with everyone here kerry, how you spell on here and your site can effect how you look to people and possible listeners

Post 26 by charrington (Zone BBS is my Life) on Monday, 07-Apr-2008 10:24:33

Wow. Worb Radio is still around. We have also gotten a VT server if anyone's interested. Is anyone interested in DJIng? We're mainly playing automation at the moment, and it would be nice if we could expand. Also, anyone got any premoteing ideas?
Thanks a lot,
Chris

Post 27 by charrington (Zone BBS is my Life) on Monday, 05-May-2008 18:14:21

Well, it's been about two and a half months, and we're not dead yet...

Post 28 by mistervera (the Zone BBS remains forever my home page) on Monday, 19-May-2008 21:26:19

yes worb radio is still around and where changing every day sort of speak. We have added D J Chad to our line up of programming from 9 to 11 weekdays. Our audomation is still a piece of crap but we will be changing formats in June and also getting rid of the show rates all together.
We have had our share of skam DJ's though but got rid of them. Due to having some grate staff manely Brandon Hennis we have kept strong and Cris Harrington and Brandon have been a grate help to me with this station still struggleing with the financial end of it and not all ways making ends meat but some how every month it works out to pay the bills and get some food on the table as well.
IN june we are changing our format to christian music for our audomation. The hip hop music we play currently we realize sets a bad image for worb radio and for teens of today. We want to change it to be a more posidive station .
Hopefully worb radio will continue for years to come or 2012 how ever it may be and we get more listeners and more dj's we are allways looking for more shows and more ideas so please drop us a message at
station_owner@worbradio.net or call us at
(1641)715-3800 ext 95333 and press the pound key.
We thank you for reading this and thank you for listening to worb radio
Rhode islands only urban internet station.

Post 31 by Toonhead71 (move over school!) on Thursday, 22-May-2008 11:16:11

Wow, I must say I'm impressed actually. How about this, instead of just Christian for the automation, why not do a shuffle of all kinds of music? When you get into Christian, it's great but if you aren't into that, you aren't likely to listen. So for the max amount of listeners, you might try the shuffle idea for the automation. That way you can use that old phrase, don't like what you're listening to? wait a few minutes. or something.

Post 32 by mistervera (the Zone BBS remains forever my home page) on Thursday, 22-May-2008 15:46:27

could do that

I have had a few people ask me that I have thought of doing country or clasic rock since we do have a few fans of clasic rock

Post 42 by Toonhead71 (move over school!) on Thursday, 19-Jun-2008 12:53:51

is that legal though? If it's not, you could be a pirate station and you don't want the FCC on yo ass. I'm just saying. Be careful.

Post 43 by Austin (the magic fan!) on Thursday, 19-Jun-2008 14:48:12

it's prob part 15. it would take a lot of money to get powerful am transmitters.

So, anyone wanting to get this baby rolling again?

Post 48 by Magical (Veteran Zoner) on Wednesday, 21-Jan-2009 4:17:05

umm, doesn't really sound like it does it. It was just another sound alike lame station anyway from the sounds of the small varriety they played. All the so called good online stations play old shit or a lot of country and christian stuff, which isn't all that smart if your shooting for popularity. But neither is playing half the crap you hear on these types of stations. Most of the time I think the issue is not enough young people want to put together a station due to lack of motivation and funds, as its hard if you don't want to be illegal. So you've got the older folks running things and playing stuff they used to listen too and was cool for them back in their day. There's really not been any cutting edge new awesome stations out there that I've found anyway. Well, I'm done rambling i suppose.

Mallory

Post 49 by blindndangerous (the blind and dangerous one) on Wednesday, 21-Jan-2009 15:30:30

I actualy like running my station. Kinda makes me keep going back to pandora to get more stuff for it.
